Yesterday was “Getting rid of the ‘shoulds’ day”.

Less regrets …

Apparently, you were supposed to get rid of all the “I know I should …” do’s, be’s, have’s, etc that plague your conscience and trouble your sleep. Read the rest of this entry »

Fame is fortune where I come from!

One more famous ADHDer for the list … me!

I’ve read recently that if you’re an ADHDer you’re not likely going to be rich and famous. I’ve also read that that’s no reason to stop trying. Admittedly I’m not rich, and it’s not in my foreseeable future, but I know how to be famous. Read the rest of this entry »

Money isn’t everything …

inspired by daVISA1

Yes, that’s true, it isn’t everything, there are other things in life: debt, bills, service fees, the list goes on. Okay, in the spirit of the sentiment I’ll admit that there are good things in life that have nothing to do with the filthy lucre. There is poetry, laughter, love, and music … Read the rest of this entry »

Happy Anniversary.

A little something about marriage that I’d like to share. About two years ago, when my wife and I had been married for around twenty four years this little verbal transaction occurred in the kitchen of our house. Read the rest of this entry »

I endured accolades for being the deliverer of joy, I liked that, a lot. Call me Santa Claus. Tears flowed (not mine though! …okay, maybe a few were) and the result was a happy reunion. Walk it off

7 06 2010

A step in the right direction.

I’ve been walking for my health off and on for a few years now and I have to say, it’s not as boring as I thought it would be. I mean, if you’ve read my post on driving, you already know I’m never alone (at least not in my head). Add to this the MP3 player, the GPS unit, my camera and voice recorder and my note pad and pen, it’s really a wonder I get any walking done. Read the rest of this entry »

Life goes on, and on, and on …

More grey matter on a motorcycle …

Rolling down the road on my Honda is one of my favourite pastimes. The bike is old but runs well, a testament to Japanese technology, good maintenance and low mileage. I’ve aged a year for every year the bike has aged but I can’t say that I still run well (although my doctor is of Japanese descent).  I’ve gained experience though and I’ve come to this conclusion – “Ageing sucks!” Read the rest of this entry »
